I Want Everything Right Now
Afraid of Losing Your Edge?
I want it all and I want it right now.
Who doesn’t?
I’ve always been an all or nothing person and (whenever I knew what I wanted) I have been obsessive about getting it.
Ever since I started creating a few months ago I have felt the fire to do more.
To learn more
To write more
To post more
To engage more
To grow faster and catch up to everyone who had started before me.
As many who follow me know, my wife recently gave birth to a daughter.
I’ve been writing, posting, and learning to be a creator while we both are working full time jobs (and learning how to be parents).
Shoutout to everyone creating with:
• Families
• Full time jobs
• ResponsibilitiesKeep up the awesome work!

I’ve always been a person who gets frustrated easily.
(I like to be in control of my time and energy.)
And there has never been a point in my life where I
A) Want to get so much done
And
B) Find so little time to do it
The hardest thing for anyone who is building something new is to avoid being complacent.
What was once new and exciting becomes the new norm.
And when the feeling of ‘newness’ wears off your energy begins to atrophy.
That is why people who pick up guitar or a new hobby (or start working out) may feel energetic and enthused at first-
But they give up after that feeling of newness wears off.
It’s why relationships will sometimes get neglected as time goes on.
And why so many dreams get set down and forgotten.
Because of the fear that the same thing would happen to me-I have been pushing myself everyday.
And while this can of discipline can be good.
It’s important to remember that obsessions (however good our intentions) can harm us more than help us.
If you push yourself too hard and don’t give yourself permission to continue to enjoy life as you try something new:
You will burn out.
Because of this-
I have given myself permission to enjoy the journey from now on.
I hope you will too.
